A December To Remember

I really enjoyed working with Angelina and Martin on their wedding at The Astor Wing of Hever Castle, Kent. The wedding was small but perfectly formed with just the right touch of elegance and luxury to see off the winter chills.

With the bridesmaids in the palest of blush colours we spent some time getting the colour of the roses to exactly match. I was so happy to see the pictures and find that it had all come together perfectly on the day. Even the cake ribbons were perfect!

The bouquets and buttonholes were made with Vendella roses and if you look closely you will see just a hint of sparke to the edges of the petals. Simple but effective designs that will not date in a hurry.

We decorated chairs with bunches of frothy gypsophila (a must for a winter wedding) and the tables with tall elegant candelabra filled with flowers in palest creams and blush colours. The flowers we used were roses, spray roses, hydrangea, gypsophila and lisianthus with mixed winter ivy, heady eucalyptus and pine scented blue spruce set off with warm twinkling Christmassy candles.

The piece de resistance was the table plan which we made a huge beautiful floral frame for. We made the frame to fit the plan and attached the flowers around it. It was a gorgeous centre piece and entrance to the dinning room and certainly made a welcome change from a pedestal of flowers.

Wishing this lovely happy family a very happy New Year and New life together!
