Smiliest Wedding of The Year

I was so looking forward to this wedding at The Gardens in Yalding because I knew it would be bursting with vitality and colour. And when Charlotte asked for a large bouquet I really got excited, it felt like Christmas! When I saw the colours of the bridesmaid's dresses at our first appointment I could see how much scope there was to use some really beautiful material, luscious pinks, lilacs and touches of lemon and I pictured roses, clematis, veronica, astilbe, honeysuckles, freesia, stocks, the list was endless, imagination running deliciously wild!

The bridesmaid's carried 'garden gathered' style bouquets smaller than Charlottes but just as colourful and they look so effective with the dresses. Flowers included the beautiful full petaled David Austin Roses 'Miranda'.

The rain threatened but I was so pleased they managed to use the gazebo for the wedding as we decorated it with a beautiful archway of flowers using a light garden style with flowers and foliage to match. The result was really lovely.

The smiles say it all, what a happy day despite the rain!

A lovely touch for me was when Charlotte and Adam requested a painting of a couple of flowers for the two sets of parents as a gift on the day. This was a challenge as they had to be completed before the wedding but I was happy to have a little commission and pleased with the result and I hope the recipients were too!
