It is hard to pick out favourite weddings as I can always find something I love about each one. However, this wedding was always going to make it to this page as not only were the bride and groom so easy to work with and the flower choice so sumptuous but the images captured by Gyan Gurung are truly outstanding. I can't emphasis enough how important it is to get an amazing photographer. It is hard to take great pictures of flowers (I should know!) but he made it seem like a breeze. The undercroft at Nettlestead Place is very dark and it is so exciting to get some good pictures of my work (as well as the wedding party of course) to show in there. This little gem of a venue is one of my favourites as I have mentioned before and just on my doorstep near Maidstone in Kent.
Kim was keen to have the entrance archway decorated and it's such a pleasure to do, what a photo opportunity! Couples often have tight budgets to stick to (don't we all) and it is important to keep this in mind but please do consider a little wow factor at your wedding. It may not cost as much as you think and you will be guaranteed to have SO many compliments with an archway like this everyone will want their pictures taken under it! Sometimes less of the fussy bits and just one or two amazing pieces will make a wedding really stand out.
Pink roses, hydrangea, bouvardia, dahlia, scented stocks all make an appearance at this bright and truly 'sunny' summer wedding.
The pale pinks were broken with subtle tints of the deeper pink Mimi Eden spray roses which were also used for all the buttonholes, so stunning against the blue of the suits.
The table center pieces, some low and some tall, were natural with lots of greenery and some hydrangea were so effective in the marquee reception.
Finishing touches included the foliage around the table plan for decoration, just pulling the colour and floral decoration together.
